Zones

Zones are permanent effects that change the state of the battlefield and activate when a character deploys an Elemental Stance. Unlike most other effects, Zones will linger for the duration of the battle, and can only be cancelled by deploying another Zone or using specific Zone-cancelling skills. Zones are usually available through the Valor Chants of specific characters (like Gariyu (Another Style)), though future characters may also possess skills that deploy Zones too.

Zone effect damage increase is one more damage multiplier which stacks multiplicatively with other parts of the Damage Formula.

  • Fire type attacks damage increased +50%
  • Wind type attacks damage decreased -50%
Change how to fill the Another Force (AF) Gauge
  • AF Gauge charge changes from per hit to per move (multihit move and 1 hit move have same charge)
    • AF gain of Fire type moves is 7.5%
    • AF gain of Wind type moves is 0
    • AF gain of other moves is
      1.5%  normal charge of 1 hit without zone  
Additional effects on skills upon use
End of turn Passive is activated with effect scaled from number of Fire type moves used during the turn: Gariyu turn-end buff, Hardy turn-end buff
ZONE effects stay until end of battle, until other ZONE Stance is activated or until skill with removal effect is used
Can be removed with skills for additional effects:

  • Pierce, Blunt, Magic type attacks damage decreased -30%
